Safety precautions when operating a mixing mill!

The mixing mill is one of the main equipment in a rubber factory. The mixing mill rubber operation is an accident-prone process, including personal accidents and equipment accidents.

In recent years, on the one hand, due to the rapid increase in rubber enterprises, especially the large number of rural township rubber enterprises, a large number of young workers who have not been strictly trained have entered the rubber mixing job, and violations of safety operations are common. On the other hand, due to the continuous strengthening of the production capacity of the mixing mill, and because some steel wire radial tires and wide-section tires require an increase in the hardness of the tread rubber, the lateral pressure of the mixing mill is increased, resulting in frequent damage to the safety sheet and roller fracture accidents. Therefore, the safety status of the mixing operation is not optimistic. Protecting the safety and health of workers in production is an important policy of our country. Protecting national property and promoting production development are important responsibilities of enterprise management. Therefore, as far as rubber enterprises are concerned, the safety of the mixing mill operation should be taken seriously.

Applicable products of open mill:

This equipment is suitable for raw rubber mixing, and can heat the cooled rubber material for later extruder, calender, extruder or other processing machinery.

Precautions for operating open mill

1. Make preparations

Before starting the open mill, you must wear leather wrist guards, wear masks during mixing operations, and absolutely avoid waist ropes, belts, rubber, etc. It is strictly forbidden to operate with clothes. Carefully check whether there are any debris between the large and small gears and rollers. When starting for the first time in each shift, the emergency brake device must be pulled to check whether the brake is sensitive and reliable (after braking the empty car, the front roller must not rotate more than a quarter of a circle). It is strictly forbidden to shut down the machine with the emergency brake device when the open mill is operating normally. If more than two people operate together, they must respond to each other and confirm that there is no danger before starting.

The temperature rise rate of the roller preheating should be mastered, especially in the cold winter in the north, when the outside of the roller is consistent with the room temperature, and high-temperature steam is suddenly introduced into the roller. The temperature difference between the inside and outside may be above 120℃, and the temperature difference causes excessive stress on the roller. If the rubber is added too early, the rollers are very easy to be damaged under the superposition of the lateral pressure. For safety reasons, the empty car should be preheated, and this should be emphasized to the operator.

The rubber should also be checked before feeding. If it is mixed with hard metal debris, it will be put into the rubber mixer with the rubber, causing the lateral pressure to increase suddenly, which is easy to cause equipment damage.

2. Correct operation

First, adjust the roller gap and keep the roller gap balanced. If the roller gap adjustment at both ends is different, it will cause the roller to be overloaded, which is very easy to damage the equipment. This is strictly prohibited. It is customary to add materials from the power input end, which is actually unreasonable. From the bending moment diagram and torque diagram, the material should be added at the speed ratio gear end. Since the synthetic bending moment and torque at the transmission end are greater than the speed ratio gear end, adding a large piece of hard rubber at the transmission end first will of course be more likely to damage the equipment. Of course, don't add a large piece of hard rubber to the middle section of the roller first, where the synthetic bending moment is larger, reaching 2820 tons centimeters. The amount of material added should be gradually increased, and the weight of the material block should not exceed the provisions in the equipment manual. The order of adding materials should be from small to large. If a large piece of rubber is suddenly added to the roller gap, it will cause overload and rush out, which will not only easily damage the safety gasket, but also endanger the roller once the safety gasket fails.

When operating, you must first cut (cut) the knife, and then take the rubber with your hands. Do not pull or pull the rubber hard before the rubber is cut (cut). It is strictly forbidden to feed the material on the roller with one hand and receive the material under the roller with one hand. If the rubber material jumps and is difficult to roll, do not press the rubber material with your hands. When pushing the material, you must half-clench your fist and it must not exceed the horizontal line of the top of the roller. When measuring the roller temperature, the back of the hand must be opposite to the direction of the roller rotation. The cutter must be placed in a safe place. When cutting rubber, the cutter must be fed in the lower half of the roller, and the cutter must not face the direction of your body.

When making a triangle package, it is forbidden to operate with a knife. When making a roll, the weight of the film roll must not exceed 25 kilograms. During the operation of the roller, the hot roller cools down suddenly, that is, when the roller temperature is found to be too high, cooling water is suddenly introduced. Under the combined effect of lateral pressure and temperature difference stress, the roller will be damaged. Therefore, cooling should be carried out gradually, and it is best to cool down with an empty vehicle. When debris or rubber accumulation is found in the rubber material or roller during roller operation, the vehicle must be stopped for processing.

In addition to the above, please also note: it is forbidden to lean or stand on the rotating part of the equipment and the material tray; it is forbidden to transfer objects above the running roller; pay attention to the surrounding situation when pulling and pushing the vehicle to prevent collision and bumping people, and prevent overturning and injuring people when loading.
